| Resumo | Ozone measurements at Natal (6 05) have been carrind out sincé 1978 using the balloon borne Electrochemical Concentration Cell (ECC) instrument in a Tong tem M program of coopetation between INPE,theBazillan Institute for Space Research, and NASA. The .data gathered from more than 80 laúnchings show tropospheric densities that are larger than the densities obtained in the Northern Hemisphere tropics. Furthermore, the ozone densitins at Natal often show a pronounced tropospheric density peak at about 700 mb. This density peak may be an indication of a locallad source of ozone, perhaps the large burnings of biomáss to the west of Natal, which Occur yearly during the dry snasons. | |||
